595 Space Parking Garage at Center Block
This new, much needed parking garage sits in the center of a block between two major arteries in downtown Charleston. The initial design's wood slats and trellis reinterpreted the stacked lumber and sheds of the lumber yard. The industrial aesthetic hearkens back to the industrial history of this area. My design has since been replaced by a "neoclassical" design instigated by the Board of Architectural Review.
